Ruth got a new car....

Top is pretty awesome.  Just like the Youtube video only tan leather seats instead of black. I sure hope German technology is still good.
Lot of moving parts on that top.

She sures like the convertible though.

It is called a Volkswagen EOS.

Very racey looking car. Looks more like a mustang than a VOLKSWAGON!  (when I think of VW I think of bugs and my dads "bus")

Hmmmm ...
Nice looker!

I am curious why she picked that one?  What other cars was she interested in?

I am sort of keeping an eye on what is available, so that when the lease is up on my Miata, what will I buy?  I love my Miata, but too many times I have needed to sit more than one other person in the car, so I will go back to more than a two seater.

I thought I might go back to the Sebring convertible, as I had such good luck with all three of those that I had.  But this car that Ruthie picked out looks like a nice car.

What is the back seat like?  Is it a REAL back seat, or an imitation one, like is in the Mustang convertible?  By real, can an adult sit in the back seat for longer than ten minutes, without getting cramped up?

It seems to be in the same price range as the Sebring convertible, so I would be interested in her reasons for picking that car, AND how well she likes it after a year ...

Chuck, the convertible man

DAYUM!!!

Are you trying to tell us that they actually MADE cars back when you turned 50?

OH!!!  I get it!  You are talking about a buggy (pulled by horses) that had a convertible type top.  OK, that is more believable ...

SHAZAIM!!

Our gym teacher bought one of these last spring for her retirement (after 42 years!!!) present . It is sooooo cool to watch it open and close. It's not a family car and the back seat (or was it the trunk??) seems pretty useless especially when stuff is folded into it but who cares. It is such a neat car. She said she can get her large golden retreiver in the back seat so that's all that matters. Have fun with it Ruth!! She loves hers.
