Personal hygiene
May 27th, 2009 at 9:22pm

Flicking through the TV channels waiting for a program I’ve been waiting to watch, there seemed to be a lot of adverts on toothpaste, deodorant, hair gel, spray, makeup etc.
Which obviously was on my mind when”the Missing link” came on, this if you don’t know was about Ida, the fossilised remains of our ancestor from 47 million years ago.

What I don’t understand is it took 2 years of the finest brains scrutinising in minute detail and they came to the conclusion it was female.

Now! Nobody mentioned anything about deodorant or hair products, we men all know that you’d never leave the house without at least a bit of lippy on.
That first dance, up close paw to paw “come up to my place and we can share a couple of nuts”
If there was no sign of any personal hygiene products, how did we evolve?
I think I would stay pretty celibate if confronted with a bad hair day especially down the nether regions (no three ply tissues then) and I suppose flossing was out of the question.
Maybe I’m been a little unfair on Ida lets face it there’s a lot of men and women out there today who you’d  probably describe as smelling of an unwashed surgical appliance.
Conclusion
Some of us probably haven’t changed a lot in the hygiene stakes.

No infomercials... robot vacuums, steamers or colon cleaning products hawked by poorly evolved creatures sporting terrible hairpieces. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
