Can anyone answer my question?

Ok, so it's been back for about 6 weeks,  severe headache every day on the left side of my head, a drill going in my ear and out my eye!  This has been happening to me for at least 8 years with about 2 years in between episodes every time.  I didn't know that it was cluster headaches until 2 years ago.  During the time in between episodes I pretty much block out everything that happened the last time!  So my question is this...  At the end of any of your cluster periods does the pain feel any different, or switch up or slow down a little?  The reason I'm asking is because I haven't had a severe headache since the middle of last week, when I was getting them everyday.  BUT, now all of a sudden I'm geting all over headaches all day long.  Most of the pain is still on the left side in the same place, but my ears hurt and it's just an all day constant pain for the past 2 days.   If some of you could tell me how yours usually ends up going away that would be great.

One of the toughest parts of CH is its unpredicatability. My cycles usually build up in intensity, and then fade out. Some cycles just stopped on a dime. One cycle went 8 months with the intensity rising and falling through out the 8 months. Obviously you'll want to discuss any dramatic changes with your doc, just to assure youself the CH isn't masking anything more ominous.

Do you have an effective treatment regimen? Have you tried oxygen? I know its hard but after 31 years I've learned not to try to predict the track of my cycles, or to worry about how long they'll last. I just keep my oxgen supply stashed in the garage, enjoy the pain free times, but always stand ready to do battle! Wink

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.
