Volunteer work
Jun 3rd, 2009 at 12:41pm

I have a service project for ENG111 class. It requires 3 hours of volunteer service related to my topic, which is CH. I just completed my first paper, and my topic is locked.

Does anyone have some suggestions for volunteer work related to CH? I must have completed my service by beginning of July.

Talk with the folks planning the convention.  I'm sure they could find three hours worth of work needed beforehand.

How about monitoring the guest book daily and responding appropriately to new people looking for help:

Chris,

Jackie and I monitor the guest book every day, but that would be a great thing for you to do also.  Even if we duplicate each others efforts and contact the same people...well that's o.k.   We all have different perspectives and the more the merrier.  Also it is something you can do at your own pace and spend as little or as much time as you want on it.

I'm sorry I didn't think of that the other day when you asked me about helping out at Family Services.

Linda

You could visit the neuros in your surrounding area to give them printed, updated information on CH. Undecided

You could also visit some the the oxygen providers.  Inform them of the correct use of 02 for cluster patients.....flow rate, correct mask.

Good on you Chris.   Smiley

Thank you all for you suggestions. I am going to take Linda up on her's. The other ideas are great, I will pursue them, but need to do the service for an organization. I am required to have signed documentation from the organization accounting for my involvement.

Thanks,

Chris

Actually it was Bills suggestion and a good one it was.   Wink

Give me a day and then check your PM's Chris.  There are privacy rules I will need to discuss with you as well as other items... like I work for OUCH...but I am a member here, there a few things I have to be clear on with you before you start and before I can sign off as chair of Family Services (If that is the right term)   Like I said , give me a day.
