OWWWW
Jun 5th, 2009 at 5:23am

Got plowed at work yesterday big time. Started to feel a shadow as I was walking down to the cafeteria and thought I could make it ok but it hit me like a ton of bricks walking back upstairs. Took a 5mg Zomig and had to leave my department for over 2 hours. For some reason this one took forever to go away. Almost went crazy. I was embarrassed.

Then when I got back to work everybody seems to think they have had "Migraines" before. I cant even begin to explain to them about CH.

ooooohhhh i can feel that one with you, got hit 3 times in work, luckily i was able to get out of the way and sat in a quiet corner untill it was over. Never feel embarrassed after all its an illnes like any other, ok maybe not like anyother but still an illnes.

i had a guy in work who last week had a migraine attack, we sat and talked for a while and i gave him lots of understanding, i didn´t mention my problem, just let him talk and hopefully he will do the same for me (ye well maybe not lol)

sending you a supportive arm to hold onto and wishing you lots of PF days.

Where was your oxygen cylinder and non-rebreathing mask???  You could have aborted the attack in less than 10 minutes using an oxygen flow rate that supports hyperventilation.

Take care,

That bites. I got hit at work yesterday too, decided to do 3 mg Imitrex.

So today I am prepared (already had occasion to use it this morning). I brought a tank of O2 to work and set it up in a lab about 50 down the hall from my office. My "office" is a large cubicle I share with three other engineers, so I decided not to subject them to watching me inhale O2 at 15 LPM.

It would be far superior to watching you inhale O2 at 2 LPM. Grin

Frank,

As an engineer you must know that more is better and that any real engineer appreciates a well engineered solution...

Get yourself a good 0 to 60 liter/minute regulator or demand valve kit, then blow your socks off and theirs too with very rapid aborts at an average of 7 minutes or less.

Sounds of heavy breathing from down the hall 3 or 4 times a day may have unexpected results in a work environment. Shocked

Shoot me a PM and I send you the gouge...

Take care,

V/R, Batch

I just need to vent here for a little bit. i have been getting hit pretty hard and frequently this time around and it is driving me nuts. Used to be I would get hit for a week until my Verapamil would get going then all would be good.

I am seeing my regular doc this Tuesday and my Neuro at the end of the month and I am going to talk about other alternatives, even oxygen.

So much shadowing today, I really dont want to get hit tonight.
