Daddy's new toy
Jun 12th, 2009 at 4:47pm

My Maxima finally caused one too many problems.  I had to go out and get some Detroit muscle from the Land Down Under.

Brian, you might recognize this as the Holden Commodore...

Yes, I didn't get the V8.  It's still a daily driver  Roll Eyes

Dennis - I like those cars! I have driven quite a few as rentals. They're peppy and comfortable to drive.

The other car I REALLY like to rent is the Hyndai Sonata. Man those are comfortable for a low-budget car. I like the interiors.

Sah-weet!

But you forgot to digitally rub out the license plate - you know, like they do on COPS.

My son just traded in his lil Hyundai.err.. Focus? Something like that, with 109K miles, and picked up a Sonata......Very sexy body style.. kinda looks like a mini-Jag, but I am MOST impressed by the quality! Like Christy said, pretty cool for a low budget car!
Conversely, my friend's Kia Sorrento has 29K miles, is 4 yrs old, she was on her way to work whn the thing DIED.dead in the street. KIa claimed she voided her warranty by letting her 10K mi oil change go an extra 9 miles.........they will do NOTHING-not even take it in trade.....she dropped it off in front of the dealership, and she's going to look at cars this weekend....
Really nice when the payents outlast the car.......

Good for you, Dennis, something pretty, affordable and sturdy!

Thanks Cat.  I'm really hoping the car is sturdy.  Holden has been building a lot of these for a long time.  But just in case I bought the 5yr/100K bumper to bumper warranty.  I'll put at least that may miles on it in 5 years.

Besides, Obama has my back  Grin

I suppose you'll be out there every Sunday with a sponge from now on!
Remember to work from the wheels up or is that the roof down?
Or you could get some nubile wench to do it for you while you watch.
Now that's daddy's toy.
Colin.

It was Saturday as it rained all day Sunday.  I actually had two little wenches and one young lad helping out.  My 3 youngest Wink  We had a great time.

And it's roof down and wheels last Wink
