You know, I didn't even notice that.  I believe they were flip flops, but even so, she should have been wearing tenners.  Don't worry, I just told Dad and Lily and it won't happen again. Smiley

Lucky Lily, I had to learn to use the regular, old-fashioned lawnmower... Wink

That looks like fun in comparison! Smiley

And I remember being thrilled to be allowed to use my grandfather's push-mower!
(Little did I know I'd be mowing for 17 years at my own house!)

I'm thinking it's kind of like shaving. Starts out being very, very cool.

Turns out to be a drag.

Jesse and Mel - take advantage of it while she thinks it's still cool.

Maybe she'll turn out like me and not let anyone else ride her "baby."  Poor Jrbrew asks why he can't cut the lawn and I tell him not to mess with mama's fun!

I was thrilled when I was allowed to use the riding mower as a kid.  It was always fun to mow the lawn.  Some of that faded with adulthood, but I suspect I'd still enjoy it if I wasn't pushing a mower.

Oh Man Pat! I hope Joe doesn't see this post. Now you know in California we have no yards. And our back has no grass. So we have a small front lawn, the gardner only charges $10 a week to mow - that's how small. But Joe would LOVE to have a riding lawn mower!
