These quite nice Apocalyptic Horsemen
Jun 28th, 2009 at 9:11pm

After a week of intense shopping it was nice just to relax and do a little me time.
Hmm shall I do the crossword or, yes! I know the bible code.
Clearing the table of unwanted teacups, unrolled the enlarged copy that I thought may contain the next great prediction.
“Now, was it count 9 across or 10”
After a while it looked like I’d won the lottery in June 04, (well it wasn’t me) perhaps it was a k instead of c.
Thought I’d take a break, strolled into the front room and gazed out of the window.
As I pondered,
up the road came four riders, (these look a little dodgy) they paused and caught my eye.
Beckoning with some authority I grabbed my flip flops and outside ventured.
A strange feeling niggled at the back of my brain.
White horse, Red horse, black horse, Pale horse were these pubs from my youth?
Could the initials on the saddles help my aged mind, W..F..P..D.
One spoke
“Were lost”
“Oh yes, where are you going”
“Were after a good gig with plenty of action”
“You won’t get that around here”
“Can I use your loo; we’ve been on the road for a while”
“Tie up your mules over there and come in for a cuppa”
I don’t let strangers into the house normally but I was quite firm about them wiping their feet (light coloured carpet, the missus would kill me)
“Who’s that dear?”
“Oh just the four horsemen honey”
“Don’t make a mess”
After tea and hot cross buns (bit out of date)  (the thin one looked like he could do with fattening up a bit)
“Seems we’ve sorted all the worlds problems out”
“Yes were off now”
“Apoca, Apoca, never mind”
“Good hunting, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do”
“Did they say Korea?”
What a Revelation

Thanks for postponing the end of everything Colin.

Had they been forced to use a public facility, I fear it might have ended straight away.

I'd like to sit down with the missus for a chat as well.
You know how it is,
Three buckets full of manure i've shifted today and still i missed a bit.
Just goes to show, if you invite guests tell them to leave their horses at home.
What with..kids, dogs and now horses!!
I give up.

Horses or not, I think we all shift a bucket or three of manure more often than we'd like.

I actually had to explain this story to my daughter... she loved it.  LOL

Awesome Colin  Cool

I was waiting for them to come back.
(One of them left a sword).
Last I heard they hired a camper van and headed down south.
They certainly need a high factor sun block.
Seems Korea can wait a while.
Nice bunch having said that.
Me and Pest got on really well but he did go on a bit about locusts
Got their numbers if anyone is interested
