Got a little too close....
Jul 6th, 2009 at 3:41pm

I try and get some good close-ups of our riders and then we make a DVD for our biking group. This first vid from a few weeks ago is Scott getting very close to me, like inches but I knew not to move and all goes well.

This second vid is from yesterday at the same spot. i asked the group to let me get in position part way down the run to video them blasting on by. My last words were to them jokingly were " whatever you do don't hit me" and down they came.
Fourth rider Ryan pulls a wheelie and his bike just turns right into me, I'm hit! We had a Paramedic with us and she checked us both out and we both went out of there under our own power. It could have been so much worse if I had moved even an inch or two. I have contacted Ryan and although he can hardly move he is going to be alright. I had my helmet on and that is where Ryan nailed me, go figure my head gets it Cheesy

Took the afternoon off work as it is getting hard for me move around, that was a 200lb hit!!!!
Here is the second vid.

Just as long as he understands that you owe him an ass-kicking. Grin

Don't ever cash in on it - it's better for him to know that he's indebted to you.

The outer boundary of what we currently believe is feasible is far short of what we actually must do.

Geez Barry - didn't your Mama tell you don't play in traffic.  She meant bike traffic too!!! Wink  Glad you're okay but I'll bet you're going to hurt in places you didn't even know existed!

Hey Barry I'm ready to go riding with you all heres a picture of my 21 speed duel twist shifts """Rhino""" > EXciter< "Bell gel chusioned seat" I purchased in 2002 only maybe 4-5 miles on it. I cleaned, waxed, snthenxic lube for brake cables and for chain and gears I used a super dieielectric grease thats has a melting point of 650 degrees that should stay on for awhile and the tires still have the nubs on them lol Ü

Thanks everyone, Ryan and I are both ok, just really sore. Like Carol said we ache in places we did not even know LOL

What we do is risky, but I can hardly wait to get back out there, but will be much more careful doing my video's, no more high speed close-ups Wink

Nice bike Terry! Cool
