Express Scripts-STAY AWAY
Jul 15th, 2009 at 8:26pm

Company recently changed pharmacy plans. Went to my local RiteAid to pick up my imitrex refill. He put two vials in front of me and told me the insurer will cover 2 vials per month. Gave them right back to him.

Sent a Medical Letter of Neccesity. Got the coverage bumped to 5 vials per month with an admission that they srewed up. Should have been 5 from the beginning. But then Express Scripts took it upon themselves to fill the Rx themselves. It has now been almost 2 weeks waiting for the Rx to arrive.

STAY AWAY FROM Express Scripts!!

I just got off the phone with them. They dont like me anymore.

Have to disagree...have had nothing but good experiences with ES.

Now then, the insurance company using this service, that's another matter..it was a 5 yr fight to get the coverage I need. Expect ES is simply a provider answering to a higher power...heartless and robotic, maybe...but then they are just tools...

PM me if you wish to hear more re my battle...

Best,

Jon

Your right. Maybe my anger is misdirected and should be aimed at the insurer. However that doesn't explain the delay in getting the medication to the consumer nor does it explain the ES decision to fill the script themselves without my consent.

After 30 + years of CH I've learned one thing. The pain doesn't get any easier.

Blame the drug companies, gutless doctors and pharmacists. They are evil.
