365 Days
Jul 23rd, 2009 at 7:11pm

I’ve just managed 365 days without going into a high cycle & to say I’m stoked is an understatement.

Not prepared to say I’m back to being episodic again as I still get daily shadows along with RLS,EHS & my wonderful nights laying in bed wide awake (Melatonin doesn’t work for me).

Since going chronic back in 2004 this is the longest break so far & if the demon decides to stay away from the door for another year I won’t miss it.

Cheers & PF times
Barry

Ps You lot behave at the convention Wink

Well, I guess I am not as nice as some of the other people who left comments.

I DO think that it is awesome that you have had 365 days painfree!  BUT, (this is where I differ from the others) I don't wish it to last forever ... I have a finite period.  You have gone 365 days, I want you to go 365 years before your next cycle.  THEN (being the meany that I am) I want you to have another cycle.

Deal?

Chuck

That's bloody terrific, Baz, and may it continue long time. Do you think you can put it down to the work you've done with taurine? Really interested to hear more about it.

All the best to you and yours and we're killing a coldie for you this very minute.

That’s what I’m hoping; the magnesium/calcium combo with Zink thrown in a couple of time a week & using the Taurine as a promoter.
There has been dietary changes as well that I think has helped, I now have oily fish about three times a week for the omega 3 component  & bananas for the potassium.

There has been times that I’ve though that my persistence down this road wasn’t worth it but with the pain free periods getting longer each time & no other real option I thought what the heck.
It isn’t perfect but its better than where I was & I realize fully that CH will morph and maybe that’s all that is happening but I’m not about to stop the regime to prove either way.

Cheers
Barry

Thought I should drop some dates in so you can how this has progressed over time.

Went chronic October 2004 & didn’t get a break for more than a couple of days; although 02 works well for me I really needed to find something that wasn’t pharmaceutical medicine dependent, & when Taurine was first discussed on this site that set me on the road to where I am now.

Started the regime with Taurine April 14 2006 & gradually added the other supplements as I became aware of the benefits.

First big break Oct 2 2006 through to June 20 2007 = 261 days

High cycle June 20 2007 to August 9 2007 = 50 days

Low cycle August 9 2007 to June 1 2008 = 297 days

High cycle June 1 2008 to July 24 2008 = 53 days

Current low cycle July 24 2008 to today July 30 2009 = 371 (
Winknot that I’m counting
)

Cheers & PF times
