energy drink question!
Aug 20th, 2009 at 1:12pm

It's my understanding that the biggest help in the energy drinks is 1)Taurine and 2)caffeine.

Taurine is really another for of amino acid, with this said, has anyone tried using an amino acid supplement to help with the CH? I think this would be alot cheaper than the energy drinks or you can just make your own!

Yes, pure taurine costs 5 cents or so per gram if you shop around, which is the amount in one Red Bull (which costs $2 - $3 a can). I buy taurine in bulk, and 2 grams goes in my morning coffee, 2 grams goes in my evening coffee.

The outer boundary of what we currently believe is feasible is far short of what we actually must do.
