Lithium and Water
Aug 25th, 2009 at 10:13pm

I have been headache free for over 2 years until a few days ago.  Went back on lithium and dr told me to make sure my fluid intake stays "normal".  In the past I've nearly drowned myslef with water and had ok results.  For those of you on lithium.....any advice on water intake??  Thanks.

Drink when you're thirsty.

I was referring to the water X 3 tip.  Didn't know if anyone had any good advice on whether or not to follow it.

My bad. Excess thirst is listed as a side-effect of lithium.

I'd get a confirmation from your doc. I use lithium on cycle also, have never tried the water X3 method. The only concern I'd have is if you drink too much water you may flush the lithium out faster then the body can absorb it to a therapeudic level. I have no medical training so I'm not even sure that's possible  Winkso I'd wanna check with the doc!

Hope the lithium works as well for you as it has for me.
