Jerry, I only need to look around at some of the best friends I have ever known - and realize I found them here at ch.com, to know that suffering too, has it's positive allowances.

Thanks Don, I needed that. We got in from Houston last night (I brought my friend home with me for a few days - Hospice agreed it would do her some good). The trip tired her out (about 5 hours) but she's in pretty good spirits - she EXPECTED me to rub her back!!!! I bitched and gripped, but did it - she complained that I didn't do it like her NURSE did and well... you get the idea. She slept good last night and I did too - (my own bed!!!)

today she's EXPECTED food on the table at her WHIM - ok I'm cooking peas and cornbread - after all THIS IS THE COUNTRY - she's not that citified..

We're going to Red Hatters tomorrow night (I'm loaning her one of my "favorite RED HATS). Then her daughter is coming over the weekend with her 8 year old and my 7 year old is coming to keep him company so we should have some "noise" in the house.

The old witch is giving me orders about cleaning the house (thinks she the superintendent on this job!) and has me working my rear off (had me cleaning her house last week - think I'm getting the bad end of this deal ummmmm...).

Anyhow we're building memories and this is good. We're remembering a lot of the crap we've pulled over the years (we're old - and we've pulled a lot of it...lots of laughs there).

Guess ya'll have cheered me up -- I'm about over my mad spell at that jerk face that pissed me off in Houston. We're just gonna have some fun now...
