OUCH Elections...
Sep 1st, 2009 at 2:42pm

The cutoff date for submission of BOD applications for OUCH will be Sept 18, 2009.  Voting will be Oct. 4-10.  The delay in this year’s elections was due to the handover of the Webmasters duties to the new team.  The BOD at OUCH wanted to make sure things were in place so the elections could be held.

The nominating committee is still accepting applications for BOD positions.  If you are interested please fill out the application and send it to me.

10 more days,  for anyone who wants to make a difference,  for all of us.

Peter Goadsby said (at the Dallas convention) if WE...meaning all of us who suffer and support those who suffer, don't get involved, it won't get done.  We all know that PG knows what he is talking about on so many levels.  This is only one of them.

At the last convention, Jim told everyone..."this is not rocket science nor is it brain surgery to be on the BoD."  So many of you have common sense and logic and practicality.  THAT is what is necessary for being on the BoD.   The rest (rules and what we can and cannot do)  can be taught very simply.

Being on the BoD takes a few hours of your week.  Some times more, sometimes less.

Serving on the board you will face challenges in  the work you do for the members and you will feel the reward for the accomplishments in serving your fellow CH-ers.

10 days folks    Wink

I have offered my name as a candidate, not because I feel I am the most qualified, but because no one else seemed to be doing so.  There are many of you who have so much more to offer than I, and I would gladly defer to you.  Please make it a matter of real thought.  Grab an oar and help row.

I was NOT looking for support!  I was looking for someone qualified so I could step out and support from behind the scenes where I belong! Cheesy
