unexplained end to CH

I would like to correspond with someone that would be interested in the history of the cluster headaches my father suffered with from 1945 to about 1965 and how they suddenly ended.  He had a very steady history of cluster headaches running for about 8 weeks and occurring every year or eventually slightly more that a year.  After a period of more than 20 years, totally out of sequence, (after a 6 month period) a few hours after he had spinal surgery, he had two minor CH.  He never had another CH after that.  The doctors at first said there could not be any connection, but later stated "maybe they just don't know everything". This was back in 1965.  Does anyone have any related information to this subject.

Glad you navigated your way here! I'm interested in the reponses to this one. Some on the board are over 70 and still getting hit. Others have stopped in their 30's, 40's, never to get hit again. So damned hard to establish firm cause and effect. I'm slip sliding towards my 50th birthday, been getting hammered since I was 18. In a long remission right now.....maybe they've finally lost my address! Wink

Knowledge of the dynamics of CH is very limited. There is no understanding of why they start or stop, why cycles are so different between individuals, etc.

You've have more data to gather if you shift your interest to some area of theology. <bg>
