Understanding Verapimal
Sep 4th, 2009 at 11:33pm

So... if I understand this right. I am taking Prednisone(Transient) to help with my CH until the Verapimal (Preventive) builds up in my system to take over. In the mean time I have the Imitrex injections to temporarily injure the beast into submission.

If I have any of this wrong, please tell me.

So, a question which because its late and I can't call my Neurologist, do I stop taking Verapimal once my cycle has ended? Reading about the side effects I really don't want to take this all the time. My CH are only for about 2-3 month periods.

That would appear to be your doctor's plan.  Wink

Oh you need not worry about that. Anytime someone is wrong here...they hear about it.  Grin

Yes...most people would stop the Verap after the cycle has ended. Consult with your doc before changing any medication.
