It's my 3rd cycle and this site has helped so much during my 1st and 2nd cycles.  I am episodic sufferer.

First time, it lasted about 5 months, MRIs, CAT Scans, atenalol, Maxalt-MLT, and lots of pain killers.

Second time, (new doctor), tried Atenalol again, pain killers, Maxalt-MLT, and after about 4 weeks of this and numerous trips back to doctor, the gave me a shot of Prednizone and a 10 day regiment of Prednizone pills to break the cycle (I also started the water treatment).  It worked, but I think I was near the end anyway.

Since then, when I feel "him" in my head, I begin the water treatment, several days later it's gone (and no K10s).

I felt "him" about three weeks ago and started the water treatment, but I don't think I stuck to it like I should have...because "he" came out to play.

This time I can kill the K10s in about 15 minutes when "he" wakes me up (or finds me during the day), here is how:

-1 Maxalt-MLT
-.5 or 1 milligram of Clonazepam - Melts in mouth, tastes like bananas (this was a great new addition)
-O2!!!!!!
(This has been a miracle combo for me, some times when I feel "him" creeping, I will take a Vicodin also)

As for breaking the cycle, I am hoping the water treatment will really payoff and break the cycle.

This time I went to my Dr and said, "These are the things I need...period.  They listened and gave me what I asked for.

The most important thing to me(now that I can "kill the beast" with in 15-20minutes) is learning more ways to break the cycle, any thoughts and help would be great.

I feel for all of you!  Thanks for everyone that contributes to helping us cope with these things.  Feel free to ask me any questions, as I hope to help out in every way that I can.

Kind Wishes to All!

The "alternatives" mentioned above...also the prednisone "burst" or taper are about the only things I've seen to break a cycle. For some, the pred taper will abort a cycle. For others like me, it just masks the CH as long as you're on it, but they come right back as soon as you stop taking it. I use a 10-14 day pred taper at the start of a cycle while I wait for my lithium to kick in.

I'm in law enforcement so the alternatives are not an option for me...I would never recommend an illegal treatment... Wink..but damn their success rate is a little hard to argue with. Do read the site.
