CH with no pattern?
Oct 28th, 2009 at 1:11pm

I'm beginning to feel like a Cluster Freak.  My HAs are so unpredictable right now.  I don't really think I'm in cycle. ( I can have a drink without triggering a hit. )  I go from eye twitches to nothing....then to heavy shadowing ...back to nothing... then I'll wake for two days in a row with a pretty good hit...then back to nothing.  Then I'll wake with a hit after just falling asleep..then back to nothing.

I'm just confused.   What's the deal?  I never know what to expect.   Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Jeannie

Could be the end of a cycle with five years of remission in your future.

My fall cycle never really took hold.  It sounds like what you describe.  Weird ... but appreciated  Cool

Good luck Jeannie...

Potter,

That would be nice!

Good point, Dennis.   CH is described as "predictable." I guess I mostly wondered if anyone else experienced such unpredictable HAs.

Thanks!

You said "nothing" four times in your post.

Focus on the "nothing." That's when you get to live.

Sometimes CH's predictability is in its unprodicability.  Random attacks are no fun because you aren't prepared for them, but sometimes they happen.  It may be as Potter said, or you may be going into a cycle (hope not), or you may just be having a cycle that doesn't really take hold.

As Brew said, live during the nothings and enjoy.

This is exactly what's happening to me right now, but I take that as a good thing.  Normally, I have a CH an hour after going to sleep and this has been ongoing for that past 15 months nonstop.  So to me, this is a gift.

I didn't really mean to complain about my current CH situation.  I would much rather have things the way they are now than getting hit several times a day, every day.  I know many of you are suffering SOOO much more than I am right now.

I mostly was just curious if others experienced as many random  hits as I do.  When you read about CH it never describes HAs the way I have been having them.

I've had very similar things this time.  Normally, they are very scheduded - once a day, every day at 9:30am.  I feel one coming on right now, though.  This will be the third since midnight.

Well my CH with no pattern is now a cycle Angry

It just took while to take hold.   Ordered seeds yesterday.  I'm hopeful.

Sometimes my cycle starts that way for a week or two.  I always pretend it isn't going to happen...haha.  But for me, regardless of how it starts, it has always lasts 8 weeks.  At least it has for the last 25 years.  I have never had a random cluster without it being the start of a cycle, but others seem to do so.

my attacks never follow any kind of a pattern. i can remember pulling over on a ramp, huffing o2, getting it together after 20 minutes, rolling back on to the interstate and getting hit again 2 miles down the road and ending up on the next ramp.

the only thing i could base any kind of pattern on was if i was sitting down, sleeping, or not out in the cold i was going to get hit.

Your not alone in the odd hits~ I was celebrating a free time over the last bit of summer and into October but vacation seems to be over.
But like you, theres no pattern, and I triple checked~ hand diary over weeks of everything I ate, sleeping times, medication log, daily weights, stress scales, triggers and all.
I am finally just settling in that I predict the checking account and gas mileage on the car but everything else is up for grabs.
I hope you feel less like a freak here, I don't post alot but I look at the site just for a comfort feeling. Comfort, is all I can really suggest~I try to live inbetween attacks, celebrate aborted ones, and stop asking why.
take care,arctic
