I did get a few pictures.  I can't remember all the backstories, so I'll explain what I can.

All I know, is he shot a man for some reason

He was the Presbyterian minister for over 60 years in the late 1800s, in some cases, he married all three generations of a family

Sam Jones (I had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman and he is a fine historian and a fine actor) portrayed the father of a young girl who was killed in the blast from a chemical factory.  I'm not sure how many died, but the youngest was either 12 or 13.  The man lived and eventually grieved himself to death.  Eventually the owner of the company erected headstones for the graves of the 4 young girls that were killed.  THe father is buried to the left of the 4 young girls.

This lady portrayed a Jewish woman (Natchez had quite a large Jewish population during the 1800s).  She opened up a daycare for the workers in the cotton mills and eventually opened up a school for the children of the workers to teach them how to sew.  Her husband ended up killing himself during Reconstruction because he thought they were broke.

I missed these before. I'm really partial to the B&W images, Carolyn.

Nice work on an interesting event.

Thanks Marc.  Actually those bw pics didn't turn out to good in color, so I converted them to b/w.  I;ve found out that with a little conversion or adding filters, you can sometimes sve an other wise not so good picture  Grin

Carolyn

ps  Tomorrow I will be participating in the Out of the Darkness walkathon (for suicide prevention and awareness) and will have pics from there,
