I have hope, I think.
Nov 10th, 2009 at 10:37am

So I found an article on SUNCT that was just written in the last couple of months, first time I have found anything this current.

And at the end of it they talk about some medications that I do not believe I have tried and at this point anything new to try is a good thing since nothing so far has worked and I have long ago lost count of the medications they have tried on me. I sent the article to my doctor on Friday and the nurse called yesterday to setup an appointment for tomorrow to go in and talk to him about it and see what we can try, I don’t want to try any of the surgeries they talk about in the article, just not ready to go to that extreme yet but if this cycle goes two years like the last I probably will. Well I am hopeful that this will give me some relief since I have been getting hit really hard these past couple weeks, my eye feels like it is on fire right now and the throbbing behind my left eye has not stopped in a couple weeks and I seriously need a break from the pain. I know my pain doesn’t compare to what you guys go through with a full attack but the consistency of it really gets to you after a few weeks of it not going away and I am at ten months of this now not to wine but dam this has gotten very old and frustrating. Well wish e luck and send any vibes you can that I will finally find a medication that helps not looking for a cure just some help is all I ask.  Undecided

I went to see my doctor yesterday and he decided it was worth a try to go on the new medication. It is a bit of a ramp up one pill to start and increase by one every three days until I am at three twice a day so it will be a few weeks before I am at full strength. I forget the name of the med and the bottle is at home and at this point they all sound the same. Lol I am hopeful that I will be able to get to full strength without any nasty side effects I hope, I have had a hard time with most medications tried on me most make it to hard to take them, this one could cause a nasty rash and if it does I will have to stop taking it so I hope I don’t get the rash.
PF wishes to everyone for the weekend.  Smiley

Matt, as soon as you can, please let us know the name of this med.  Every once and awhile I have people who contact me re: SUNCT,  and if this works works for you, it might also help others.

Keep us updated on your progress, O.K.?

I will update this weekend and put what the med is, if you do meet someone with SUNCT, please give them my email and ask them to contact me. I really would like to talk to someone that has SUNCT as I do, it would make me feel less alone with this I think and who knows maybe I could help them or they could help me, as we all know knowledge is power.
