HEllo all,
So i was idagnosed with clusters over 6 years ago. It was diagnosed because there was nothing else it could be after all the cat scans and m.r.is i had to got hru first. Anyhow I have all the symptoms , waking up about an hour after I go to sleep, extreme pain, one sided behind eye. What I dont have is swollen red or droopy eye, no tearing and no running nose, (not normally sometime my eye will tear, are all symptoms different?

Variations in specific symptoms is common: One of the factors which can make it difficult to get a good diagnosis.

Are you seeking any specific information??

When my clusters first started I had all of the nose, eye symptoms.  About 10 years ago they all went away for the most part, (every once in a while my nose will run), leaving only the pain.  I guess the only thing that stays the same with the beast is that nothin ever stays the same...lol.

Sorry you had the need to find us but welcome home!

When I first started with CH I was a "classic" clusterhead (well except for being a girlie type of course!) Now I can have one or two or no autonomic symptoms when I get hit, it varies.
There is no such thing as a narrow profile for ch'ers. We all vary - what's right for YOU?

Oh and welcome!!

Hi there

Yes I think everyone has diff. symptoms. I myself have never had the tearing until this cycle. But have always had all of the other symptoms. Each person is diff.

I am also new to this site, but am far from new to CH's. I have had them for about 5 or 6 years now.

This site is amazing, I am sure you will find lots of helpful info. here as well and meet some great people!

I'm glad you found us!

Keep us posted!

The only constant I've found with CH over the last 32+ yrs is its inconsistancy.

Not every one gets the runny nose and the teary eye.  Sometimes Horner's comes with it and sometimes it doesn't.  All of the ancillary symptoms come and go for some of us, others remain constant with them.

I used to get a runny nose on the right side just a bit before a hit would take place, but recently I don't get one at all, although my sinus on the right side will drain down my throat.
