Big Brother is finally over and I've got my boyfriend back from the house!

This year it was a tough call in the end, the 3 original housemates Esa, Kätlin and Aso were all in the lead during the an hour and half long final show. In the end, Aso won it and Esa was third.
And I couldn't be happier for Esa, because his third place meant that he got back to normal life already on Monday evening. If he had been the winner or runner up, he'd still have media responsibilities to tend to.

But now we've seen each other twice and talked over the phone three times.

It's so wonderful to have him here! I know that his time at the BB house has left a mark on him, but what kind, time will tell. People already recognise him, fans call and email him and he has already signed autographs. Now he can see for himself what it is like to a BB housemate out of the house. And I'm here to keep him grounded. Apparently I'm allowed to kick him on the butt if this little bit of BB fame gets the best of him.

My presense at the final show also meant that the media came to get me. I had written a small piece for the magazine I work for, which I hoped to be all. But, nope. Other magazines quoted it and one network wanted my comments for their entertainment news. I declined. And I turned down two interviews at the final show as well - only to be photographed on the spot.
One website published the kiss I gave to Esa in pictures and on video (!) and this morning I found out that our notorious entertainment weekly had not only published a picture of our post-final show talk, but taken pictures of me talking to a female BB housemate, who had kissed Esa on the cheek at the diary room. That magazine was clearly dissapointed because our meeting didn't turn into "a catfight" and wasn't "icy", but was "happy and friendly" (all quotes from the so called story). And yeah, that talk is on caught on video, too... I am glad that my own magazine did not demand that we'd agree for a couples' picture. All published photos of us were taken without permission.
So I've got my share of "fame" and I still feel the same way I did before Esa went to Big Brother: I don't wish fame to my part, it's enough that I interview famous people every day at work. Well, and date one.

Well, let's give this a few months time and things should settle down. In the meantime, I'm mentally prepared to the fact that anyone with a camera phone can take a pic and send it to a certain magazine...
