"I've just found this alarming case study [pdf] from the Singapore Medical Journal about a patient who had a nail banged into their head by a local healer in an attempt to treat persistent headaches.

not exactly front line here - thank God!

Sad thing is, I know of at least one EXCELLENT neuro in Singapore who was previously at Jefferson, I sincerely hope he's teaching...

I did have a 'pain' dr offer me an injection to the temple with a 3" needle that would 'make all the pain go away' back when I was first dx with CH....passed on that too.  Shocked

And vicodin was worthless(script from same dr).

OMG!

I live remote and feel that I don't get the best advice possible that the rest of the populated world does....but come on...really!
