Pink Blankies....
Dec 2nd, 2009 at 2:03pm

My Morgan received a pink fleece blanket as a gift when she was born.  She became very attached to it.  I thought I'd be smart and buy another to have when the original was being washed.  She always knew which was which and the original was always her favorite. It wasn't long till she was attached to both of them!

As some of you know, Morgan has spent some time in and out of the hospital with her kidneys.  Even at 11 years old those blankets still bring her comfort, especially for IV starts or uncomfortable procedures.

Yesterday as I was having a really bad time with back to back hits, Morgan came into the living room with a small gift bag.  I opened it to find her pink blankets neatly folded inside.  Her words as she placed them on my shoulder were,  "These always help me."

My hope is that each of you have some pink blankies to help you through your toughest times.  This place is sort of a pink blanket, isn't it?

Aww, that's sweet! My 7 y/o chronic migraine sufferer received a handmade blanket for Christmas last year, and it's quickly become her sick blanket. She does wrap me up with it when I'm lying down and not feeling well.
