Meet the new pup.

Her name's Penny.  She's eight weeks old.

Her father is a Black & Tan, and her mother is a Bloodhound.  But she's all hound.   Wink

OMG...I love her!!!  We had a bloodhound and loved him dearly!  They make them so sweet and precious because they stink so badly.  Haha.

Oh I don't know - I had a beagle and I LOVED the baying he made - it made me laugh every time! Kind of sounded like his batteries were wearing out but it really tickled me.

Penny's a cutie George!

Do you have neighbors close to you? LOL She's a beauty but they sure have a unique bark, or whatever you call that sound they make. Grin

That's the idea.  Only thing is, most generally dogs and fishing don't mix--although I've known some exceptions.  My yellow Lab was completely hopeless.   Grin

I sure missed him, though, despite his many fishing failures.  Penny's my first dog in about ten years.  After Tabac (my yellow lab) died, I didn't have the heart to get another dog.

Figured I probably never would, until I saw this litter.  Then I took my daughter to look at them, and it was all over, of course.   Wink

We're getting along well so far.  She seems to want to hang with me all the time.  Unlike a lot of pups, she isn't a nipper--so I won't have to break her of that annoying habit.  Like most hounds, she's very fastidious by nature, and she's already (mostly) asking to go outside when she needs to.

All in all, looks like a good match.

Sorry to go on about it, but when you find a good pup, there's nothing quite like it.

Best,

George

Oh how did I miss this thread???? She is adorable!!!!! I want to hug her and pet those long beautiful ears. She is so pretty.

My son just got a beagle puppy in Sept. She is 5 months old. She was hilarious with that howl at my golden retreiver. Maddie was a bit intimadated by her. She had never heard such a noise come out of a dog. Enjoy Penny and like Brew said LOTS OF PICTURES!!!!

Charlotte
BTW- Happy Belated Birthday. I missed that too. I hope you had a good day.
