cycle ending?
Dec 15th, 2009 at 10:00am

i believe i am ending a cycle( less frequent, less intensity). however, my ch's seem to be undergoing a transformation. for about the past week, i have low grade pain lingering most of the day, just waiting for an imminent flare up. last night i had one after eating sushi ( im assumng from the rice wine vinegar?). and, much more pronounced nasal blockage. i do not recall either of these traits with past cycles. normally, the attacks just become less and less frequent and then are gone altogether. does anyone have any familiarity with this?

If ever you think you have a "pattern" with ch, just know the beast will laugh at you. My whole cycle has been different this year (my fourth year with ch). I never really had shadows until this cycle. Now, I'm getting them on and off all day some days. I too thought I was ending my cycle due to all of the low end attacks or shadows but then had a nice size one today after after almost two weeks of close to nothing. Had to grab the o2 and Monster energy drink. Was very disappointed. Sorry to hear things are not keeping up with your expected cycle but maybe it really does mean its near its end. My prayers are with you that it's true.

Grandma always said "this too shall pass". But then again she didn't have ch so she didn't think to say "this too shall come again (and again) at the most inconvenient times".

thanks for the insight. still getting used to all the new collective terminology such as "shadows." i like that. i've come up with my own peculiar vernacular over the years and thus i'm still in the process of translating everything to the universal.
i suppose it is rather naive to assume something so elusive to explanation should follow a predictable pattern. probably a bit scared, as most people are of the unfamiliar.
the past 2 nights ive had an attack after dinner. food trigger or coincidence? who knows.
you say you went 2 weeks without an attack. how long has your cycle been. how effective is the oxygen?

Me too!!! Last two night CH free. This cycle started on August 19 and I never normally get a night off. The last 2 weeks they were milder and moved to dinner time as well. Smiley
I hope for the best, I don't like to jinks it with only 2 days free.

A Cluster Free Christmas.  There's got to be a song in there somewhere.   Wink
