Cat called......
Dec 21st, 2009 at 10:11am

They have been without power since Friday's storm.  The report is that it won't be back on until 11:00 pm tomorrow.

She was caught in the worst of the mess.....had gone out to get 'storm supplies' and run some last minute errands....finally making it home at 3:00 am.   Tongue

She'll be checking in when she can with an update of her adventures.

My sister in law just got hers on this morn.  She's in the same area as Cat.  Hopefully they will get hers on more quickly.  They are actually running ahead of schedule getting power back up in some areas there.

Thanks for updating the family Mom Smiley

Well we lost power here at 1 p.m. on Friday the 18th, and it came back on at around 6 p.m. Tuesday the 22nd.  We have spent the last 5 days with no power, no heat, no water and no phone.

Because we are on a well and septic system up on the mountain, once the power is gone, so is everything else.  I can deal without power for 5 days, even isn't that hard to manage without heat for 5 days, but having no running water - indeed, no water at all, that is a bit much to take!  We ended up using the grill to melt snow and fill buckets so we could flush toilets Undecided

It has been an exhausting 5 days.  I'll update with the entire Lind's National Lampoon Christmas when I have a bit more time tomorrow Smiley

Great time of year to have that problem to deal with.  Glad to hear you're "powered up" again.

BTDT Cat.  Couple of years ago, we went 4 days without power or water.  After that, we bought a generator (now have 2) and I made damned sure that I always have at least 16 gallons (minimum) of water in my pantry.

Glad you're finally digging out though.
