When I am in cycle, I have constant shadows.  A shadow is a low level pain that is much like a Cluster Headache that doesn't ramp up to the excruciating pain.  It is a pressure and tender feeling usually in my nose, eye and cheek.

You may want to take the Cluster Quiz at the left of your screen to help you determine if your symptoms fit CH or not.

MRI and scans usually do not show anything for CH suffers.  A headache specialist is your best bet at getting a diagnosis and proper treatment.   You will likely have to research and help educate your Dr.  This is a GREAT place to start.  There is a LOT of info here.  Read, read, read.

The first thing you want to do is buy some energy drinks.   Red Bull or anything with caffeine and taurine will do.  If you drink it as fast as you can, at the very first sign of an attack, you may be able to shorten the duration and severity of the attack.  It helps me a lot.

Keeping track of your headaches will also help your Dr.  Be specific and very detailed.  How often do you get them?  How fast do they get severe?  How long do they last?

I hope this helps.

I use Jeannie's tip for my shadows too. Red Bull on the rocks!!! I don't chug it for the shadows, just slow and easy drink a glass and it eases the shadows. For an actual attack it's CHUG the Red Bull and suck the 02!
