Another cycle comes to an end

Here's what I learned this round, your miliage may vary:

Starting verapamil ASAP was the best thing I've ever done with regard to CH. It was very effective at keeping the pain at bay.  My hits were very mild by comparison this cycle.

O2 is a life saver for the hits that aren't stopped by the meds. It was 100% effective as an abortive this round.

It was difficult at first as I have the typical stuffed up nose with CH but breathing through my nose was more effective than through my mouth.

My cycle length is 6 weeks. The last 3 cycles were all the same length.

Melatonin does nothing for me.

The side effects of the meds suck, but not as bad as the CH.  Constipation and a two time hernia repair aren't compatible. Fiber suppliments don't  help.  I think I may have ruptured again.

My skull/brain hurts after it's over for a couple days. It's not really painful, more like a mild hangover, feels almost like the nerve is brused. I know that isn't possible.  What is that about?

I have a huge stack of imitrex that I didn't need to use. I guess I'll stack is somewhere stable and hope I never need it again.

I'm med free for 3 days and pain free for 9 days! I hope you all have the same soon.
