LouiCon is over... Please Check In
Jan 17th, 2010 at 3:52pm

I made it home about an hour ago..

I've finally come to the conclusion that I enjoy pain
.. I look so forward each year for our midterm meet & greet and our yearly OUCH Convention; yet they each hurt so much when they end Sad.

I had a great time greeting known CH family members & their supporters, as well as meeting new ones. There were a few absent faces and they were truly missed.

I'm starting to feel that absent pain again Cry, so I'd better close.

May God continue Bless and Protect each of you, and a special Prayer of Traveling Grace for those that are still on the road or in the air.

Peace & Blessings

That's the one problem with the meet and greets and the conventions, and all gatherings we get together at - when it's time to say goodbye it always feels like leaving family behind.  Coming back here to the board after being able to hug a person IRL always feels so inadequate to me.

Glad I didn't have to go through the goodbye pains - but I'd gladly take them to have been able to be present.  I sure did miss seeing all of you this year!

*hugs* Ruthie!

Glad you made it home safely, Luv.   Smiley

We got in around 5:30.  The trip home was sad because we always hate leaving but we had some good laughs too.  What a bunch!!!!!

Counting the days until we see everyone again....

Much Love,
Jackie

Not fair Cat... as you know, the pain is also for the ones that you wish could have made it...

Seester (Jackie), I'm glad Blake got you home safely.. I think that this was the first time in a while that I wasn't able to sneak off in order to avoid the tears... I was like a little lost puppy as I watch your vehicle disappear around the corner Undecided; just standing in the cold wanting you to come back. The wind and cold finally made me return inside Cheesy.

And Yes, we did in deed have some good laughs..

Luv you both much
   ps... like you too

Just got in about 30 minutes ago.  Made a couple of stops at two Antique Malls that have book dealers I haven't been to since I got off the road, and was able to complete two series of an author that I enjoy very much!  (Good deals on them too!  They didn't research the pricing as well as they should have. Smiley)

Ruthie, I agree with you wholeheartedly.  It is sorrowful when you leave, but I'm looking forward to convention already.

For those of you who were not able to come due to the economy I understand and am sorry.  Here's hoping life turns around for you and you will make the rest of them.

There were some newcomers to the board that I was looking forward to meeting there, but did not come.  I'm really sorry to have missed the opportunity to welcome you personally.  Hope you will make the opportunity happen next time.

Jerry

After delays in Phoenix, including having to get a different aircraft, JoeSeppi made it home too. Thanks for the presents LadyLuv!

I'm glad you all are home safely and look forward to seeing that those that have not checked in are safe too.

I enjoyed my time with my cluster family so much.  On the short ride home, I felt truly weepy having to say goodbye.  I can't wait to see you again.  Randy says that he has never met a group of people like you  ever before; that you are the most genuine bunch he has ever had the pleasure of knowing ..... I agree.

Much love,

Jeannie

Heya,
Better late than never. We made it home with a shopping stop or two. It was wonderful to see you all again.
Any news on a date for the Atlanta convention? I  could only get vacation time the end of July.
