I suffered since childhood

I am suffereing from fibromyalgia and cluster headaches since childhood and was diagnosed just recently. I am 35 now. I just got divorced and I want to marry again but I am not sure whether to disclose my condition or not.
I have been sufferring from headaches since last wednesday. They affect my studies, work and normal life. I donot know what to do?

Welcome Coolaide....

I think first of all you have to be honest with yourself and fibromyalgia and cluster headaches are part and partial of who you are today, no shame, there just two little medical conditions. Trust me a good partner will understand and help you through the tough times when you need them most. Secondly, tell us a little more about yourself and what medications you are currently taking for the CH's.

Well ya pretty much gotta disclose your condition before getting married, right?

If you've found reasonably effective treatment for the CH, then I suppose it probably shouldn't be as much of an issue.....

If you haven't found effective treatment yet, let us know here - we'll be glad to suggest some.

We might be able to read into your statement about CH affecting your studies, work and normal life that you are suffering unrelieved attacks, although I'm not sure, since even when you're able to abort every attack, there will be some distraction and disruption there. The very most successful amongst us at combatting CH find a preventative that keeps the attacks from occurring at all. I could get into that. Cheesy

What treatments have you tried, are you using currently?

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

I don't even want to be around people/friends who cannot be supportive during rough times in my life...sure wouldn't be married to one. You were just recently diagnosed? My wife has put up with almost 30 years of my CH and hasn't dumped me yet! Wink

She's actually the one who found this board for me and saved my sanity. When you find that right person, send them here to the supporters section. My wife and a whole bunch of other beautiful people will give them all the info they need to not be afraid of CH, and to learn how to help you defeat it.
