Sumatriptan (Imitrex) Nasal Spray
Feb 4th, 2010 at 4:35pm

After 3 trips to the Dr. in the last 15 days I finally got something that helps.  The Dr. prescribed me imitrex nasal spray and it gets rid of the headache within 5 mins.  I don't have a clue why but the Docors would NOT prescribe me oxygen.

Cool! If you start rebounding too much with the spray, with concerns about using too much in a given day, you could try using 1/3 to 1/2 injections a la this imitrex tip: Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

And if you're in the U.S.  there's the option of getting your O2 from a welding supply place without having to get a prescription from a clueless bozo gatekeeper doctor.

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Glad to hear you found something that helps. Something you need to know about is the fact that most insurances only cover x amount per month. And out of pocket for Imitrex is in the $100's for 1 month.

If you're lucky you won't run out. Most of us take other steps to limit the use of the BIG GUNS, so we save our Imitrex etc. O2 is very good for this, and not so harmful to us.

Most Dr's know little about O2 and even less about CH & O2. Educating ourselves and Dr's is in our best interest. So we get the best most up to date treatments.
