Update on Bonkers
Feb 17th, 2010 at 4:43am

Hi Folks,

For those of you who remember him, my son Michael has chronic CH. None of the traditional or legal non-traditional medications provided him with any relief. The chance reading of an article in the journal Neurology gave some hope that psychedelic drugs might be of benefit. An 8-month search turned up a single dose of LSD, half of which completely eliminated  all symptoms of his headaches, but the relief lasted only 5 days.

The source for LSD disappeared but this forum was found. On recommendation we tried both R.C. seeds and O2, neither of which worked for him. A friend provided both spores and capsules of P. Cubinsis mushrooms. The effect was the same as with the stronger LSD; complete relief, but only lasting a few days. P. Cubinsis is ILLEGAL but we can grow lt at home. AND IT WORKS!! At least for him it does. It's going to take a lot of experimenting to find the correct dosage and timing because of a refractory period of about a week after dosing during which time an additional dose of the psychedelic won't work. Michael has taken sub-hallucinogenic doses of the mushroom several times now, each time with the same effect: His headaches completely disappear!

It's going to take awhile to get it right, but my son is going to get a life!

Ron (Michael's dad)

Glad to hear your son is showing a response to the cluster-busters. Maybe in 6 months or a year, the screen name will change to 'Normal' or 'Happy'.  Wink

That is fantastic!!  Smiley Smiley

Ron's case was about the worst I've ever heard of, and here a bit of nature's plant life is the one thing that will treat it effectively.

Sub hallucinogenic doses of psilocybin will be dispensed at all neurologists offices starting immediately for the simplest, and possibly most effective treatment known for CH. Well they should be IMO.  Smiley

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Today is the 4th day of Michael's complete relief from his CH. Each time before, this was the last day that he was PF. Let's hope that things are different this time. If it does last longer, I'd like to try using a much smaller dose if and when his HAs return, say 1.5g, as suggested by Bob W. As Flash advises, we will not dose unless they do return. Any suggestions on dosage and timing if the HAs come back tomorrow as they have in the past? For this current dose, we waited 6 days and dosed with just under 3g. If they do come back tomorrow and we follow our latest routine, he'd take just under 3g. friday evening.

I would say, either stick with what you been doing previously and was working or try experimenting with lower dose on 6th day when even if it does not hurt your son.

Crossing fingers here and praying for Michael! Smiley
