Diaper Cake time!
Feb 24th, 2010 at 12:16pm

Haven't made one of these in ages.  Going to Jesse's cousins baby shower on Saturday and wasn't exactly sure what to get other than the normal crap on the gift registry.  So, I mosaicked a picture frame for the baby, ordered some cookies from a spectacular lady who just went into business for herself, bought a book like the invitation said and put a quote in the inside jacket, and then threw this together this morning.  (I had the diapers already as Ava grew out of them, so all I had to do was buy the topper, ribbon & flowers)

Think she'll like it?

Runs in the family.  We can do many things pretty good, but not one thing fantastic, lol.

Sorry, Mel. I just had to say that. I know you've done diaper cakes in the past, and they're very cute and adorable, but anytime I read the words "diaper" and "cake" right next to each other, that little subconscious gag reflex goes off. I'm trying to get over it.

Except, skip the cake part. It's not a celebration when it happens to old guys.

Yeah, pretty insane, isn't it?  But for those who don't shop eBay or Etsy and have extra money to spend, they buy them from ToysRus.  Looks like someone got a contract!

Anyway, thank you for the compliment. Smiley

Cute, cute, cute!
After that comment from Jimi, however, and being a memeber myself of the OverThe Hill Gang...........well, here's a thought.....
why not do them for those retirement/you're getting old celebrations?? Could be lots of fun!!

BTW- Let's Qualify OLD....I am soo sick of my 40-something friends inviting us to Over the Hill parties........I have NO sympathy for anyone YOUNGER than I!

Party On, Old Peeps!
