RIP Davy Crockett
Mar 18th, 2010 at 8:23pm

Fess Parker died today at age 85.

For those of us who remember Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone (back in the 50s and 60s) we remember Old Fess and his coonskin caps...

RIP

I don't know about you, Barb, but I'm feeling just a wee bit older today.

Hard to imagine Fess Parker at 85.

I wonder what happened to my Davy Crockett t-shirt and my plastic flintlock cap pistol? Had a coon skin cap too. I was the perfect age for it.

He was good.

It's days as this we contemplate our own mortality.

RIP Fess.  And thank you for the memories of friendlier times.

expensive luxury....I was the original remote control...it was: "Jon, channel 5"

Had the same Magnanox set probably.

Good times.

Even I watched Davy Crockett (and Tarzan).

I like to watch the old reruns of The Twilight Zone (some of those can still scare the snot out of me).
