Worm charming or wooing…
Mar 18th, 2010 at 10:04pm

I’ve been allocated a 2mtr x 2mtr square in the annual worm charming competition,
Now I did think about using the trusted fork twanging method but I must admit if anyone has another idea it would be gratefully grabbed with both hands.
Of course not to be Shhhhh talked about
I have heard about some using Mustard, stamping or vocal grunting.
Piece of cake if that’s the competition,
You never know what these worm ticklers get up to.
Photo’s of naked lady worms or even the worm cross dresser with ugg boots and a disco spangle boob tube…Worm M C A
On a serious note..
Any worms out there that need a chat or even some wormaly love give us a call..

Do you think you will be able to win this year?  I actually saw a special on BBC that showed the annual worm calling/charming competition (yes folks, this is real, not some figment of Colin's active imagination).

Looks like i'm gonna have to do it the legit way.

That can't be any more lame than what a county in California has done for years...

We had a fierce battle today with the wooing of the worms, I was pinning my hopes on a little inside information.
This friend of a friend new this gang of rebel worms, yes I know what you’re thinking, but the prize (a years supply of good quality loam) was tempting.
We met by streetlight in the grounds of the city park,
The rain was falling and leaving undulating shadows on the wet ground and as the wind started to lift…
“Got a light”
I paused.
“You gotta light”
Feeling the adrenalin coursing through my veins.
“No”
It was him…
Norman the worm,
“I hear you be looking for me” (in a Cornish accent).
Looking around I noticed the shadowy figures of his henchmen.
These worms had a reputation of taking no prisoners.

Hang on I need the loo.

Ok done.
Where was I…?
“I’m looking for a little, let’s say, Elp”
“What is eet you look for “
“Just a little edge if you know what I mean”
“Ahh you talk bout the worming competition”( does that sound French)
“I thinks you like uz to pop up in ze appropriate plaze , yes..”
“Ill make it worth your while.”

I’m afraid Norman was diverted when some nice fishermen came a prowling
The baron earth that was left in my square and I did try yodelling but to no avail was wanting to say the least.
I’ll give it a go next year, watch this space..

Carolyn, when I first started reading this thread I thought, "well, Colin has to do something to keep himself busy.  But now I'm left with the following question: "exactly how bored does one have to be to watch this on BBC America"?

Hoping all is well with you Wink

Watched the frog jumping contest in Calavaras county in California once. Was a lot of fun. They had to change the rules a few years ago though, to only allow American frogs when some wise guy brought in some ringer African Bullfrogs over. The things weigh a couple of pounds a piece and can jump over 20 feet.
