I think the Arizona law will be thrown out by the high court as unconstitutional. But, it has gotten the attention of the Obama-lama-ding-dong gang so maybe, just maybe, the imigration laws already on the books will start to be enforced.

It's a shame that more laws have to be passed, given that the laws already on the books are not being enforced.  It is illegal to hire undocumented workers and has been for numerous years.  It is illegal to be in this country without the proper documentation.  It is illegal to evade deportation.  It is illegal to hide people or otherwise thwart the government for carrying out deportation of undocumented workers.

How much simpler does it need to be?  Racist?  Bullshit, it is not racist to ask people to abide by the law.

TommyA,

No one here has one ounce of respect for your political or religious views until they know you are a CH sufferer or supporter.  The only thing that will catch their eye is your experience with CH.

Until you fess up the CH experiences you are just wasting space.

Make sense?

There was a congressman on TV yesterday that made some sense (to me). He was an American born citizen of an Australian mother (American dad I assume - he didn't say). He did say that when his mother went back to Australia - she took him with her, so he grew up in BOTH countries, with  his mother. He was talking about babies BORN here and being citizens and the government saying that they shouldn't be seperated from their parents... He chose to come back to America when he was of age as a citizen because he was. That makes more sense to me than letting the whole family stay here illegally.

Of course a guy on the other side was yelling -- you can't SEPERATE the family... if you send them ALL back you're NOT seperating the family. The baby is still an American citizen and can come back anytime, but the parents are NOT citizens unless they migrate LEGALLY.

They have a choice to put the baby with relatives who are LEGAL or keep the kid with them in their country, but if they're not legal - they don't need to be here. It's really not about separating the family - it's about cleaning up our immigration system.

And yes, we have laws in place now (on the federal level) -- It's about time they were enforced.

But then - just wait till one of YOU get a nice letter from the IRS telling you that you failed to report $15-20K in wages and that you owe $3-4K in taxes plus penalty or interest.... ooops someone used your social and the employer didn't check it closely and they're coming back on you!!!! I've got three right now that this happened to... someone just made up a social and it hit my clients... One we've about got resolved - the other two are pending. And guess what??? All three came from AZ. Of course the culprits are LONG GONE and they're doing NOTHING to the employer (maybe a slap on the hand -- there's supposed to be a FINE, but you know how that goes - I think my clients are the only ones who comply with that damn thing). So anytime you think the immigration problem doesn't affect EVERYONE - think again!!

Whatever AZ is doing -- at least they've brought the problem out in the open and I salute them... I'm too damn old to learn Spanish and I LIKE the American FLAG!!!

Don't think Deej set up this site due to any lack of opinions on the net.  Dealing as CH sufferer/supporter lends the inter alios intended.

I didn't realize that there was a requirement to tell  of my Ch experience right away, but to satisfy you here it is:  chronic 13 years, worked for a govt agency, took a bullet to the head while on duty (fortunately didn't penetrate skull), had a couple of operations but pain is still there but getting a bit better.  That enough massa? You ever take a bullet to the head?  Hurts.

Make sense?

Sorry that you have CH.  As for me, when I feel one coming on, I run for the nearest phone booth, strip off all of my "outside clothes" to reveal my skin tight underclothes with a big "S" on the front, a red cape and fly "up, up and away!"  My CH goes away and I only run into a piece of kryptonite and then the pain returns-damn you Lex Luthor!

I think the fact that the president of Mexico is so up in arms says a lot, they said on the news that Western Union alone wires like 850 Million a year to Mexico from the US. That is just a very small part I fear of the true amount of earnings illegal’s make and send out of our country and Mexico is just one country there are people here illegally from just about every country in the world doing the same thing.
If you think this does not hurt anyone think about the money flowing out and not coming back, I love it when people start saying that illegal’s pay taxes, well yes sales tax when they buy something in the store and have to pay tax but remember they are paying with money they earned without paying income tax or social security tax and a host of other taxes that we do pay and I think that is a big reason we pay so much tax. If everyone was legal and paid taxes we would not pay as much or if we did things would be better, hell there might even be social security when I am eligible for it but right now I would be very surprised if I get a dime back of all the money I have paid into that system since my first job when I was 16 years old.
I have nothing but respect for those who have come to this country and earned there citizenship that is how this country was built. But as with most things, you tend to respect something you have earned and don’t respect what you have not, and I see so many people that do not respect this country especially in California and I think most are illegal’s, I love this country with all my heart, I even served to protect it and it hurts me to see it treated so poorly by those that should not even be here in the first place.

Nope, never taken a bullet to the head but have had two brain surgeries.  You ever had brain surgeries?  Wait... you had DBS.  I guess that constitutes brain surgery, huh?

That's not what you told me via email back in '07 (because I still have it).  I still have all of the fun emails you sent me back in the day... IP addresses, machine ID's, email addreses, screen names.  C'mon "Tommy", you're not fooling anyone here.  Spill the beans!

Why are you here?
