Help! Time to update the CH.com logo...
May 10th, 2010 at 8:30pm

Ok all you graphics people out there.  It's time to come up with a new logo for the top of the message board and I'd like to ask for your help.  I'm tired of answering questions from my (and my neighbors) kids as to why I have a devil on my shirt!

I'm terrible with graphics so I'm going to request you guys come up with some ideas to replace "the devil".  I would like for it to be simple (with no more than two, colors... three colors max).  It would also need to fit nicely in the upper right corner where it sits now.

I like the way the text flows on the log that is there now but I want to change the devil graphic so if someone can just come up with a graphic to replace the devil, I'm open to suggestions.

Care to help me shape the future of clusterheadaches.com?  Show me what you got!

Please don't post graphics to the board, rather send all submissions to me personally, via email at deej@clusterheadaches.com.  I will pay a fair price for the graphic I decide to use and make your time worth while.

Thank you!  If anyone has any questions, let me know...

DJ

Ok well since I think the devil guy is scary I'm happy to help with ideas. I don't have the skills to draw one but when I think of CH I think of someone holding their head with one hand and the O2 contraption of choice with the other. Does that inspire any thoughts from anyone that can draw it?

I'm for the idea, but was thinking instead of trying to depict clusters, a graphic that depicts "you are entering Clusterville."  Like a portion of dark clouds with a short uphill road emerging from underneath them and at the end a sun with a smiley face.

Just a thought, many have emerged from darkness to have much light shed on their life from this site, Deej.     Smiley       That can be imaged in many other ways, too.

Does this mean I have to hit all my golf balls in the lake and buy new ones?  (I've got a good start on it already!)

Well Bob, I think with the original out lay of cash that golf balls required, and the fact they took a while to sell, we may not see CH golf balls again.  Cry  I know the wingnut that suggested them to DJ thought that they would sell better.  Embarrassed

Mike

P.S. I know that wingnut also suggested golf tees, as less cash outlay and maybe more universally used by different people, but the funny looks  Roll Eyes  lead me him to precluded that ain't gonna happen.

I like Christy's idea... maybe something dipicting "togetherness" or support - afterall that's what this site is all about - togetherness and support -

We start out "alone" then find each other and things brighten up...

Although I was thinking Peter Max style or a two-three toned mosaic (hint), whatever ideas good, so-so, or not in the ballpark, ya know there Wonderwench, throwing out ideas is one thing, but ahem, limitations on artistic ability do hamper some, unlike OTHERS we know here.   Wink

That devil silhouette is 4 lines, max.

What's so hard about drawing four lines?

Squares I can do, but then handwriting the word gets subject to interpretation, probably hung upside down.

I told El about this.  Don't know whether she'll have time (she's pretty busy right now) but I gave her the instructions.  Guess you'll know when and if you get a submission from her.   Wink

So? Have him go for it. New logos don't invalidate old ones. Case in point:

In this case, the old one (bottom) is MUCH better than the new one.

Thanks to the couple of people that sent me graphics for the site.  They were a couple of great ideas!

Just wanted to let everyone know I actually hired a firm this afternoon that specializes in making logos so I'm probably going to go with something they come up with since I'm looking at getting something set up soon.

Thanks again for all of your inputs!

DJ
