Facebook = Openbook
May 19th, 2010 at 12:05am

Just a warning to those of you who use Facebook and have not set your posts to private - friends only.

A new site 'Openbook' has been set up. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Here you can search for anything eg, I hate my boss, I cheated on my wife etc etc and read all sorts of posts that surely are not meant for public viewing.

Yikes!   Shocked

It's probably just me, but why in the world would anyone post this, much less get a kick out of reading it?

I took it different. I think she was just trying to let the many people who are on here that use facebook (and there are many) to be aware there is a webpage out there that has the ability to do this.

I will immediately start looking up Guiseppi and Linda and see what you guys have been up to. Wink

Yes, this was only meant as a warning. I don't get any pleasure from reading other people's messages - I realise there is no privacy online - but wasn't aware people were compiling messages!  I found that a bit confronting.

Having said that I did do a search for 'clusterheadaches' and found a few people floundering.  I sent messages to those people to try 02.  I bet they were surprised to find a that their messages had been read by someone in Australia!

I understand what you're saying Jimi.  but my comment:

Quote:

had little to do with Kate in Oz.  Rather I don't understand WHY anyone would be so stupid to post that they hate their boss, are having an affair, etc.  and then post it to some web-site. I also do not understand anyone who would want to read about it.   Angry

Well, except for that one decade in the seventies, that is.

Or was it the eighties?

Ironing in high heels out in the yard. Wow. Made me think of my favorite picture of Gramma.

Look at the lawnmower. I saw that in the American History Museum in DC a couple of weeks ago. At least it was very similiar.

That had to be staged. Surely she wasn't mowing in high heels and a dress.

I've been having fun at flickr looking a retro stuff. Most of it is hilarious and the thing is that I remember almost all of it. It brings back a lot of memories.

Never know with my Gramma. In those days women didn't wear pants, and my grampa, well he wasn't so reliable (generally was too liquored up to care). So, she just might have been the one mowing!
