I will watch some matches.
Belgium is not in the world cup, we have had bad team management over the past few years Sad

But I'll watch and enjoy some matches, to me... may the best team win Smiley

I used to have more than 40 TV channels, now every one is polluted with this silly shit kicking. I can't even watch the weather forecast, they sure as hell include the weather in South Africa.

I grew up in a time when soccer had even less following here. I can't remember any schools then with a program. Today every school seems have it.

Soccer isn't my thing but it's more popular than ever here.

Well, the one thing that has annoyed me so far in this World Cup is those damn horns they blow in S. Africa.

I watched that game and couple others... Smiley But only the ones with my favourite countries playing and they are England, Brazil, the Netherlands and Argentina.

Maybe one of these years I can cheer for team Finland! Wink

You got a great result today Chad... I don't know why the 3rd was disallowed it looked a perfect good goal to me. You should pull off a result against the Algerians to go through to the next round. I seen them in Dublin last month and they were brutal, we beat them 3 and it could have been 6 or 7.

Fingers crossed here for New Zealand taking on Italy tonight. Having got their first ever point at a world cup a few days ago a win would be just amazing!

The US needs to stop letting in goals so early.  Playing comeback will bite them eventually.   I'm pleased withe result though Smiley

It's not just me, the whole country is over the moon.

NZ have only ever qualified once before and that was in 1982, so to even qualify was a big achievement. Then to get that first draw was another step forward but drawing against the defending champions was something quite special.

As long as NZ don't lose their next game they are quite likely to go through to the next round, unlike some big names.

For many of the players in the team, football isn't even their day job, so you can imagine how they must be feeling like they are in a dream playing the likes of Italy.

Mike,

I can imagine a bit of what you and the rest are feeling. For us Finns that just a dream, but maybe one year... I bet we'd get all excited in the very same way! Good luck for your country.

New Zealand are now heading home after a draw against Paraguay. The dream is over. Sad

However they will be, apart from the eventual winners, the only undefeated team in the competition. Not bad for a country with only 25 professional players!
