Question, please do give advice.

Hey guys I am typing because I experienced this cycle something different, day before first headache after I woke up I had 2 beers and then 4 hours later I felt pain in my neck, I could describe it as if my neck was sore or muscles were partialy paralysed weakness and hard to keep my head straight and was so heavy still do continue to have those neck pains mainly during afternoon-evening time, then 2 weeks into cycle, I am still busting with Morning Glory + today morning I stopped another headache with 30lpm Oxygen but since then I feel weird pain mainly over my scalp but sometimes also torso, neck, both sides of head.

It feels like million needles shortly stabbing me/pinching.

I do get them when I am excited, worried, quickly stand up, brush my hair or rub my skin.

Anything I should be worried about careful for? Contact doctor? Also got shadows 24/7 behind either right or left eye that vary between 1-3 Kip sometimes even 4 but rarely ofc Oxygen deals with them.

Matthew.

Hey Matthew,

Don't know that I can be much help.  I get all manner of headache as well as CH.  But often during a cycle I get sore hair - if that makes sense, head really sensitive.  I also get tension headache - up the neck into the back of the eye, and top of the head skull crampy aches that hurt like hell.  Top it off with the daily shadows and well.....

I guess if you're really worried, the best thing would be to see your headache specialist... or wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to come along  Wink

Sorry I can't help you out - I hope you'll be feeling better soon!

My first suggestion would be to lay off the beer.  Alcohol is a CH trigger.

My second suggestion would be to contact your Neuro or whom ever treats your CH and let them know what your other symptoms are.  Can't be too careful.

I have experienced the "hair hurting" that you mentioned, it's more your scalp not nec. your hair.

I have also experience the tingling and severe feelings of my "brain" being cold for lack of a better explanation.

The shadows you mentioned are quite common with most all CH sufferers.

I'm Dealing with a kip 4 now grrrrr that seems to be intent on growing.

I hope this helps.

When do the prickling pins and needles sensations start?  During oxygen therapy or later?  If later, how much later?

Cutaneous allodynia is part of the cluster headache syndrome although not everyone feels it.  It can and will hang around for hours after an attack particularly if it was a heavy hit >Kip-7 with the saline gush coming from eye and nostril on the hit side.  The symptoms of cutaneous allodynia are obvious...  touching your skin on the hit side will hurt... even touching a single hair can hurt...

On the brighter side, it sounds like you're using your oxygen therapy effectively at 30 liters/minute... so you might try jumping on it as soon as possible to abort the attack before it gets past a Kip-3 to Kip-4 and use a higher flow rate.  I spend most of my time at 40 liters/minutes after a minute at 60 liters/minute to jump start the respiratory alkalosis.  My typical abort times with this method of oxygen therapy are less than 2 to 3 minutes if I can start early.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

You love lots of things if you live around them. But there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, that’s as lovely as a great airplane. If it's a beautiful fighter, your heart will be ever there
