Hello Ch's friends. After 3yrs of no Insurance, Hardly no Income. Trying to treat my Ch's since 2004, 3 straight years of chronic. I finally have had a remission of 2 1/2 months so nice. Thank you Lord!!! But I just had my hearing for SSD. Sat in front of this Judge my last attempt, giving up!!!! The Judge granted me SSD going back 2yrs. You think I would of went out for a grand dinner or just do something. Well it didn't go that way. I went into kinda of a como state for two days. Just plain exhausted!!!! Now what is ahead for me. Maybe real Doctors not clinic who don't give a crap. But thanks to you I have opened doors to my clinic of CH's . Brought my Dr. many articles and different prescriptions from this site has helped. Don't give up!!!!!!!!!! Love to al. Got Imitrex injectables on the way woohoo!!!!!!!!

Disability due to CH?

Where were you working at the time you first filed?

How was CH a factor in your work?   Inquiring minds and all that.

I've worked in office environment all my life Accounts Payable 15yrs. But in my issues I was first battling Breast cancer! No Insurance lost work due to cancer over a year tried to go back to work and at the end of treatment radiation I started Ch's Not sure what was happening, Doctors just wrote off to cancer. Well I knew in my heart this was something totally different. 3 yrs after cancer I was hospitalized several times every year Cheesy Cheesy for the Ch's. All I had for Doctors for primary care was clinics even though cancer was funded 100%. My headaches were not a issue. So I fought finally got a neuro doctor. Well being low income he didn't care either. He overdosed me on lithium spent 7 days in hospital to recover. Was denied 3 times for disability but I never gave up!!!! Found a good lawyer. So I think I have alot of problems, and the system failed me so many times. I don't really know but I do know that I was awarded for Ch's Ive been cancer free since 2005. I used to say I would rather cancer it's more pain free. But I did loose my mother to cancer my grandmother and several other family members. And soon I will be a grandmother and I want to be there. So I live on lots and lots of pain no sleep. But I still live on and try to positive. I BEAT CANCER!!! I can beat the beast!!!! Keep fighting it is almost impossible to work with ch"s.

Great news Tamara!

I know the feeling finally winning a SSD case. It took me 2-1/2 years. I got mine for epilepsy though. I blew a good chunk of the retro paying 3 years back taxes.

Good luck with the MDs.

I applied for SSDI for ch and depression and I was awarded in 6 months try on my first go around.  I have been on it for 10 years now.  I just could not function at work when I was getting eight kip 10's all day long off and on for 16 hours a day every day.  I was exhausted, I would leave work early, hide in the bathroom pacing and head banging, unable to concentrate, suicidal, etc.  My self I just couldnt cope at work.  Its been 10 years and It was the right decision.  I am so glad that your battle with the Social Security Office is done with.  Now you get to look forward to reviews every 2-4 years to keep it.
