Just as a FYI to explain the references I made to "Live long and prosper" and a couple of others did that too..

Dr. Goadsby, it would seem is a Star Trek fan. He started out his presentation talking about it and made a lot of comparisons and analogys during his talk.

Besides being a brilliant Dr., a wonderful advocate for us...I had forgotten how darn funny he is. British humour and all. LOL

Skip the barrel, but if you do go, make sure you go to the base of the American falls as you get to stand within feet of where the water lands. You really do get to see and appreciate the true power of the water, even if you get soaked as you do it. I enjoyed that much more than the trip on the Maid of the Mist.
