Major vibes and prayers going up for Carolyn and Sarah.  I'm glad Sarah is out of surgery, and I hope she feels better quickly.  Carolyn - hang in there!!!

Heading back to the hospital now.  Jimbo said she's *up and down*, her back is what is causing her the most pain (that and the ng tube is causing the scars from her nose surgery to hurt).  Will update when I get in later on this evening.

Update.  Yesterday was her first time up and walking.  She got up, stood up straight, took off and left me and the nurse eating dust  .  The lady who shares her room was out walking too, but not near about as fast and hunched over like the Hunchback of Notre Dame (that lady just doesn't know what she's letting herself in for, by giving in to the pain of not straightening up).

We're still hoping that she will get to come home Friday, although we probably won't be for sure until tomorrow afternoon.

I wasn't there when her treating physician came in yesterday evening, but Jimbo said that he apologized and admitted that *they* were wrong about not quite believing Sarah when she kept telling them that she was in pain.

Yesterday wasn't so good.  She spiked a fever yesterday morning and somebody mentioned pneumonia, so she paniced (Jimbo wasn't there, I thought I had set his alarm, but I didn't, so he got there too late to talk to the docs).  She was doing better when I left.  The biggest challenge we are facing is the NG tube.  If we can get rid of that, things will be so much better and we can start looking at getting her back home.

Carolyn, hang tough sweetie.  Based on the number of telephone calls you and I have shared, I know as Sarah's Momma, you are totally stressed.

I have and am continuing to send my vibes and prayers to Sarah, but I think her Momma need them more than she does. 

From what you've said, Sarah is a strong young woman.  She knows her body and what her body needs.  It's her Momma who needs our love and support right now.

Well, she won't be coming home tomorrow.  She still has the ng tube and *home* is not even in the running until that comes out.  I just hope that she's able to come home by Saturday or even Sunday.

To add icing to this cake, there's tropical storm Bonnie in the Gulf and according to the models, she's heading directly toward Louisiana (this could mean that Jimbo could be involved in getting the shelters up and going if evacuation happens).

Still plugging away (in case anybody doesn't know, I am married to the greatest man on earth, he's the one who has stayed by Sarah's bedside while I worked~given that my erstwhile supervisor has not volunteered to assist me.  Drives 1.5 hours home to get home at night after visiting hours and then gets up at 4 am to get back to the hospital so he can talk to the docs).
