Hate to say I'm Back after 14 month of PF, glad to have this board, but the beast has arrived with attitude. I have a pretty good stash of meds from my last fight, but was wondering about the expiration of Immetrx  - the pills are not working like last time, but the nasals are. Does meds over a year old lose thier effect?  Had to resort to Relpax last night, but a 30-45 minute fight about kicked my ass (7-9 power hit). Finally,  relief and slept for 5 hours or so only to wake up and go to work with shadows - Really sucks. Anyway - no O2, old immetrex, old relpax, = Dr visit. Question is - how long will the fun last - 6 weeks 8 weeks 10 weeks - crap - I will be reading on the board to keep mindself busy - thanks again for being here......

I wouldn't mix the triptans.  I've heard bad things about that although I have done it in the past myself.
If you're using tabs, that's might be why the lack of success.  I would suggest going to the doc and getting Imitrex injections, but more importantly, look into O2 therapy and ditch the abortive meds.  You'll feel better too with ZERO side affects.  The "fun dance" is always changing for a lot of us.  My last two years my cycles were identical.  This year however, completely differently.  Just keep your arsenal full, keep on your toes, your knowledge up to date and keep a positive attitude.  Check out alternative methods too on Clusterbusters.  It's cheaper and if used correctly, works better for some and it's totally natural.

Best of luck!

Chad

Thanks Chad,

Normally, i wouldn't mix, but you know how it is when your being hammered, you just start grabbing for anything and doubting what you took last. My doc worked me in for tomorrow and I already have a list for him ... and i don't take NO for an answer - LOL. Take care

I like that...  "I don't take NO for an answer" Smiley

Work on the O2 script.  That's most important.

hi headbanger
Have you tried Red Bull or similar , if it don't help with the hits it usually sees off shadows and it's straight away too.

God bless

Sorry to hear the beast has come knocking again - this time with a giant frikkin balpeen hammer.  Angry

I'm with Chad regarding the O2 and Clusterbusters, and I've seen the topic of imitrex expiration come up several times here before. Many, including myself, report using imitrex that "expired" as long as SEVEN years ago, with no problems, no loss of potency. So there's a little bit of good news at least.  Huh

[Edit]: 'balpeen hammer", yeah we WISH - a much more accurate descriptor of it that I've seen here is   "nuclear pinging behind the eye"

CH according to Bejeeber:

Strictly relying on doctors for CH treatment is often a prescription that will keep you in a whole lot of PAIN. Doctors are WAY behind in many respects, and they are usually completely unaware of the benefits of high flow 100% O2.

There are lots of effective treatments documented at this site. Take matters into your own hands, learn as much as you can here and at clusterbusters.com, put it into practice, then tell this CH beast Jeebs said hello right before you bash him so hard with a swift uppercut knockout punch that his stupid horns go flinging right off.

Welcome back! Wink It it totally sucks the beast never seems to lose your address .....bastard always strolls in just as you convince yourself THIS was your last cycle!. You just missed a great meet and greet in your neck of the woods that Dallas Denny threw. Seems like you have a growing network down in the lone star area. Good luck with the doc, really push for the 02.
