area that know a good neurologist?? I went to my neuro today. I have been going to her for 15 years for my migraines and always had a good relationship with her or so I thought.

Today was a wasted trip. She was not interested at all in listening about o2 much less prescribing, proceeded to yell at me for increasing my verapamil and using my imitre so frequently (although I do agree I am probably rebounding at this point but she didn't offer me any other alternative to treat the attacks). She gave me nortriptyline and Lyrica to try to break the cycle (Lyrica -WTF??).

So does any one here live in the central Va area or even the Va Beach area and have a neuro that they trust and treats them appropriately?? I live in Richmond but I am willing to travel. Northern Va is an option as well.

Dharma,
Look at this list from the OUCH website.  There are several doctors in the VA area.

Thanks,

I found that last night after I posted this. Dr Mareska is an option but he is in the same group as my neuro so that makes me a little wary but I guess it can't hurt to try. Thanks again!

Hi Dharma,
I have used N. Fatehi in Chesapeake. He is a neurosurgeon but did well treating my migraines years ago. Kind of an older fella with a lot of common sense. I didn't care much for the neurologist in the group; I think his name was Wertheimer... lib
