Hello fellow sufferers.
Sep 10th, 2010 at 11:18am

Hi to one & all

My names Allen James and Im based in Cornwall, united kingdom and I have been diagnosed with SUNCT for the last 5 years.

Im almost 35 years old and I have been in constant pain of different intensity now for the above duration. Ive tried every drug known to man and to no avail, and Im scared of surgery so dont know what to do or where to turn.

Ive just learnt to live with the pain as best as I can but Im recently noticing that its affecting my concentration and memory more and more. I currently have around 120 attacks a day but in its hey day, it was recorded at 300+ a day, so as you can see, Im having it bad.

It would be good to exchange advice or experiences with other sufferers and if I can help anyone else, just ask.

Bye for now

Allen James

There is one other person here who suffers from SUNCT.  His name is Matt and I hope he sees this thread so he can try and help you or compare notes or at least commiserate.    Undecided

Another SUNCTY sufferer?
Allen I have had SUNCT for about 8 years now and know exactly what you are talking about my brother in pain and I am sorry you have to suffer but excited to be able to talk to someone that has the same thing that I do. You will love this site even though we do not have CH these people will welcome you like a brother and give you the best support. I will send you a PM to give you my contact info, would love to chat with you.

Matt

While we will welcome you with open arms, unfortunately SUNCT is not something many of us have any experience with, so we may not be of much help.

Brew don’t count yourself short here, you guys may not have info on treatment but the support you have given me over the years I would not trade for anything, a better group of people there is not. Smiley
