No I have not experienced this and YES you should tell your Neuro about it, I'd call him to let him know and see if you can get in to see him earlier!!

What you are describing could be a kind of mild dissociation called depersonalization. In the normal population mild dissociative experiences are highly prevalent, with 60% to 65% of the respondents indicating that they have had some dissociative experiences. (Waller, Putnam and Carson, 1996)

A common experience of dissociation is "daydreaming", or the experience of having driven home, but not remembering the journey.

Dissociation is used as a defence mechanism when traumatic events occur. It prevents the fear and panic response in the trauma situation from generalising to the rest of life.

People who have anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks, often have dissociative symptoms when the panic attacks come on.

It is possible you are experiencing such dissociation as a result of CH, the development of a panic disorder, or for some other reason. Yes, by all means, speak to a psychiatrist. Blessings! lance

I felt something similar tothat sometimes when I was taking verapamil, made it hard to do my job.  I was just constantly "out of it" and not connected to what was going on around me.

Triptans cause increased number of hits and increased intensity.  Learn it, believe it, live it.  I use triptans as the absolute LAST RESORT when treating my CH.&&

I had some weird experiences with Topomax, but nothing like that. I'd definately call the Neuro.

Ahhh... this take me back 20years, before i was treated for acute Anxiety/Depression and a bit of Obsessive compulsive. I was one messed up 20 y.o.  Cheesy!! Tried a million different medications and shrinks, but finally started taking Aropax (which was new back then) and the world turned good mostly. i take one a day, every day and those demons are mostly kept a bay  Smiley. It was not CH. Im not convinced all these things are not related in some weird neurological way with Seritonin..... however, what you describe sound like depression/anxiety, not directly CH related.

As others mentioned, get yourself of to the shrink + neorologist asap

Cheers
Steve
