strange cycle
Sep 24th, 2010 at 1:46am

started back on mid july, lasted for maybe a week then went away, thought the cycle was over but it returned two weeks later and is still going. Got to a point where O2 wasn't working at all. Always shadows now, no real pain for about 3 days but always feeling it trying to break through, so i'm not sure if the cycle is winding down or just on standby. Used to be it was over completely after the grand finally but not this time. Neuro gave me this new way to introduce sumatrptin called the sumavel dose-pro needleless injection. Pull the tab off, set the lever and push into fatty area of stomach. works just as good as the needle however it left a nice welt on my stomach also you can't cheat it like you can the needle.(two shots in one). Don't really like it but any port in a storm. Thats it for now. Hpe you all have pfd&n Wink

Especially when you are first starting CH variations in time, intensity, location of pain, etc. are quite common. It took me 3-4 years before my symptom picture settled down and stayed the same for years following.

Not to worry....

Couple of things.....if he gives you the suma air injectors as free samples, Great! They are more expensive then the old stat needles, my insurance refused to cover them!

02 stopped working for me for a while last cycle, and I went on the Batch PH diet. Within 30 hours the 02 was working again. It's cheap, might be worth a shot.

Magnesium, Calcium with Vitamin D, Zinc, washed down with fresh lemonade, up to 4X daily.

It alters your arterial PH making you less succeptible to attacks.

I can relate to a "strange" cycle also. Mine used to come on fairly intense at the beginning, stay full bore for about one year, then go out with one hell of a bang. This new cycle is hit and miss, and I am only on 160mg Verap daily. Had no hits for a week or so now, maybe drop the Verap by another 80mg and see what happens..
CH's are like rolling the dice, you just never know!!!
PF wishes Jimmy..
